Flu Vaccines 2025

Flu Clinics - Book Now

Flu vaccines are available from 1st September 2025 for the following patients:

  • All children aged 2 - 3 years
  • Children aged 6 months to 18 years in a clinical risk group
  • Pregnant women

 

From 01 October 2025

  • Flu vaccines will be available for all other eligible patients (see below)
  • COVID vaccines will be available for 

Flu - 2025

 

You will be invited for a flu jab if you are eligible for the flu vaccination this season. The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS to adults who:

  • are 65 and over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2026)
  • have certain health conditions
  • are pregnant
  • are in long-stay residential care
  • receive a carer's allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
  • live with someone who is more likely to get a severe infection due to a weakened immune system, such as someone living with HIV, someone who has had a transplant, or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis

Childrens Flu Vaccinations

The nasal flu spray is available for:

  • All children aged 2–3 years
  • Children in clinical risk groups (aged 6 months to under 18 years)

By protecting young children, you help stop the flu from spreading to siblings, parents, grandparents, and vulnerable loved ones.

 

 

FLU CLINIC DATES:

Schedule your appointment for one of our weekend clinics below. We will also be offering COVID vaccines to those eligible. 

 

SATURDAY 04 OCTOBER 2025   8.30am - 11.30am (Booked clinic - NO walk ins)

SATURDAY 18 OCTOBER 2025   8.30am - 11.30am (Booked clinic - NO walk ins)

 

We will also be offering various other in hours mid-week bookable flu clinics throughout the flu season for patients that are unable to attend on the two dates above. 

 

 

HOW TO BOOK

All patients eligible for the flu vaccination will receive a text, call, email or letter advising them to book into one of our flu clinics.

You can book a flu appointment using the link that will be sent via text message to eligible patients. Alternatively, Please contact the reception team on 02035383959 to book an appointment.

 

Housebound Patients – The Practice will be visiting our housebound patients this year to co-administer Flu and COVID vaccines. These visits will take place from late October onwards. Please notify the Practice ASAP to make us aware that you or a friend/relative is housebound.

 

Attending for your Flu vaccination

 

It is very important that you read the following information to help prepare for when you attend for your vaccination:

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment or between designated times for walk in clinics.
  • Ensure you are wearing a short sleeve t-shirt (no jumpers please). You will be asked to have your arm prepared when entering the building
  • Bring an umbrella if it is raining as you may have to wait outside
  • Do not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID or have recently tested positive for COVID

How to decline the flu vaccination this season

 

If you already know that you don’t want a flu vaccine this year, please send an email to thegrove@nhs.net with your name, date of birth and advise us that that you would like to ‘Decline Flu Vaccination in 2025’.

Let us know by responding to the text message invite and this will record your preference directly into your medical record.
