Two new lifestyle hubs which aim to connect people in Borehamwood with health and wellbeing services have launched.

The Healthy Hubs at the Community Hub in Leeming Road and 96 Shenley Road are dedicated local venues where people can get services, support and advice on a range of physical and mental health issues all in one place.

Whether it’s help to stop smoking, help to lose weight, mental health support, encouragement to get more active or advice on how to cut down on your drinking – each hub has a dedicated health and wellbeing advocate who can answer any queries or signpost services.

The hubs are funded through Hertfordshire County Council and managed by InspireAll and Communities 1st, in partnership with us. A launch event was held yesterday (Tuesday 25 February) at 96 Shenley Road attended by representatives from a range of organisations.

Opening hours for the hubs are as below:

• The Community Hub, 9am to 3.45pm, Monday to Thursday; 9am until 1pm, Friday. Bookable appointments are available Wednesday and Thursday.
• 96 Shenley Road, 9am to 6pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 9am to 7pm, Thursday; 9am to 4pm, Saturday. Bookable appointments are available 9am to 12.30pm on Friday.
