Some services provided fall outside the scope of the NHS and therefore attract charges. 

Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Medical reports
• Private letters, including confirmation of registration

The GPs are unable to help with occupational health requests - For this you will need to speak with a private GP

The GPs no longer issue private prescriptions, provate sick notes or sign passports.
